About us/Contact

Good Life Chorus is a community singing group based at West Ryde in the northern districts of Sydney, NSW, Australia. It is based on successful models in Canberra and overseas of singing groups catering to the needs of people living with dementia, their carers and supporters.

Good Life Chorus began weekly rehearsals on November 1, 2017. Rehearsals run for one hour and there is time for socializing before or after rehearsals.

Good Life Chorus is supported by the NSW Government and the Australian National Choral Association through the “Sing Your Age” grant scheme, and is also supported by Ability Links NSW and Uniting.

The choir is open to any adult, regardless of ability. It is desirable that persons with dementia to be accompanied by a carer at rehearsals, and support during rehearsals will be offered by volunteer supporters and other singers.

There is an annual membership fee of $15 for all participants, with a weekly contribution of $3 at the door from singers.
